Small Equipment Programme
One-year scholarship holders from developing countries and from the countries
of Southeastern and Eastern Europe, especially those from the fields of engineering,
technology and science and from the agricultural and forestry
sciences, who received DAAD support for a period of 10
or more months can apply for a grant towards for purchase
of small equipment and materials. The application
deadline ends 8 weeks before the scholarship period is
completed. Applications can be made for the
purchase of small equipment and material of direct relevance
to projects carried out at the German university. Purchase
of the following is absolutely excluded from this programme:
Video, photo and office equipment (eg, photocopiers and
computers, including software and accessories). Our information

Specialist Literature Programme
Former one-year scholarship holders of all disciplines (as well as former German
studies scholarship holders who received support for at
least 5 months) from developing countries and from the
countries of Southeastern and Eastern Europe can apply once a year for specialist literature
(books, journals, articles) produced by German publishers
to help them advance their academic knowledge and qualifications
(max. value of 200 euros per year). Download our information

details. As a rule, your applications should be submitted
online by going to the Forum.
This gives you the advantage of enabling you to easily
check literature databases to find out about the delivery
status, price, and so on of any specialist literature
which interests you.
Not eligible to apply are Alumni from the new members

Re-invitation Programme
The DAAD is able to re-invite foreign former one-year scholarship holders who - after completing their DAAD-supported
stay - have been working back in their home country for a longer period of time (at least three years) to complete a
follow-up study visit in Germany (up to three months). The large number of incoming applications for this programme
means that it is generally not possible to consider all applications. Please submit your applications to the DAAD
regional offices or to the German embassies.

Equipment Donations Programme of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation (BMZ)
- especially for developing countries from Latin America, Africa and Asia -
This programme serves to consolidate academic, scientific
and research relations with foreign countries and to support
teaching, research and development at higher education
and comparable institutions, especially in countries with
limited foreign currency reserves and in the developing
countries of Latin America, Africa and Asia. Applications
for scientific and research equipment can only be submitted
by academics and scientists working at a foreign university
who completed part of their studies or research in Germany.
Applications should be submitted in conjunction with a
concrete research or teaching project (maximum support
for small-scale projects is € 3,580 and for large-scale
projects it is € 20,450). Click here
