German and Tourism
Lots of tourists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland travel all over the world. For everyone who works and earns money in the tourist industry a knowledge of German is a good investment.
And vice versa: millions of foreign tourists visit German-speaking countries every year. They want to see and experience King Ludwig´s castles in Bavaria, the Austrian and Swiss Alps, German beer at the Oktoberfest, and the romantic River Rhine. Anyone who speaks and understands German is better able to experience the Germans, their history and culture, and at first hand.
