Programme Description
The Akademie Schloss Solitude is a public foundation. It offers an international scholarship programme to promote and fund young artists. So, since 1990, the programme has selected 50 to 60 award holders once every two years from the fields of fine/visual arts and performing arts, architecture, music, literature, design, film/video, and theatre to complete their own project over a period lasting from 6 to 12 months.
Since this is a residential grant, the award holders are also expected to spend most of their time at Schloss Solitude. This is why they are provided with an apartment, a studio and 1,000.- euros per month. They also receive a number of additional allowances.
