Why donate to the foundation?
Would you like to help young and talented people from home and abroad advance their qualifications and enable them to engage in academic education and training? Would you like to provide highly-qualified students with an opportunity to gain international experience while they are still young?
Do you consider it sensible to let the coming generation prepare for the challenges of an ever more demanding and ever more networked professional world by gaining specialist and language skills abroad? Have you always thought of contributing to international understanding and intercultural skills? You can achieve all this by donating to the DAAD-Stiftung - The foundation of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
How you can donate
In principle, there are two paths open to you:
The First Path: You donate a one-off sum for a specific support measure, for example:
- a university summer course (1,300 euros)
- a one-semester/short-term scholarship (3,100 euros for students,
4,100 euros for graduates)
- a one-year scholarship (10,300 euros for students, 12,800 euros for
graduates)
- a one-semester guest lectureship (15,400 euros)
- a one-year specialist Lektorship or a post-doc scholarship (30,700 euros)
- a six-week short-term lectureship (3,600 euros)
- a project partnership within the scope of the "Berliner Künstlerprogramms" (Artists
in Berlin) (as from 10,300 euros)
Each of these measures may also be funded cumulatively, i.e. smaller sums are collected until one of the above support instruments can be funded.
The Second Path: You donate (possibly in instalments) an endowment which enables one or several of the above mentioned support instruments to be funded on a yearly basis from the return on that endowment investment. If you so wish, this endowment can also bear your name.
